I bought this engine to have for a spair for my bay window van, but have not neaded it so i think it is a wast just sitting there,so it must go. it is out off the car that i drove home it had no problums at all I drove this car 60 miles home before removing the engine and it was quick and pulled well. and had no era cods i took the engine out with care,and allso took the loom out as well with ecu with care so i have the engine and loom together for sell . i no this is a good conversion because i have it !!!
i also have a film off it running the day i took it out off the car and it also did not have a smokey exhurst
I terms of any conversion, it will fit any beetle, camper (Type 2 & 25). You will need the wiring loom supplied (cut down to the essentials), gearbox adaptor, fly wheel and electric fuel pump.Check out the two link below website- all the info you need.
