|
|
Hi guys, just to let you know the latest recruit to the dark side is me, KS from Ultra VW. Courtesy of Richard Jones (well, not courtesy as in free as I've paid for it!) I now have a 2.5-litre Legacy four-cam motor in my 1988 Type 25. All I can say is 'awesome'!
We'll be covering the conversion in the next couple of issues, so watch this space. Or rather, that space.
Here's a couple of pics…
Lowered 45mm, Design 90 rims (6J x 16) with 225/60 and 205/65 tyres. Can't go too low as need to use to tow boat. A real sleeper... |

Welcome to the board!
The 2.5 seems a lot harder to get hold of than other scooby lumps, good to hear you are pleased with it, any more pics of the conversion?

Welcome.
Nice & tidy set up mate. That support bar makes getting the cam covers off a doddle.
Wish I'd have thought of that before I made mine - I've got manual valves. Still, they don't need doing often _________________ The advice you receive on here is worth the paper it's written on.
Your experiences are worth shed loads to others, including the f'ups - live and learn.
Wouldn't YOU rather learn by someone else's mistakes? So would they.
'78 Bay, 2 litre 091 box, EJ20 NA & the ashtray's on the 'right' side.

| Can anyone tell if that's a standard T25 exhaust? I assume the mainfolds are from rjes. |

So Keith, are you pleased?
Is heresy a Good Thing(TM) ?
(I love my EJ20 in the bay. Long distance cruising's great) _________________ The advice you receive on here is worth the paper it's written on.
