Hi,
Have got a 6 rib type 2 gearbox which I want to put into my Beach buggy which is not a straight fit (obviously) are there any UK suppliers of adaptor/conversion kits and I`ve also found out that I have to change either my drive shafts, CV joints or both........has anyone got a bit more info on this as there is a lot about it on the net but it all gets a bit confusing and conflicting. |

Many thanks for the info, have had a look around and found that the Porsche 944 axles and CV's should fit as they are a shorter axle overall and if I can get a hold of the stubs they should be ok also.
For the moment I will have to go with the bug outer CV,s but will have to stop my foot being so heavy until the budget permits.
With the gearbox mount did you have to adapt the gear change linkage or did the drop of 10 degrees sort that one out.
Jim.

The only bit of info I can offer is about the 924/944 stuff. You'll be needing to search for the non turbo stuff which I believe is pre 1986 possibly 1987. Either way it's the steel arm suspension with the single pot steel caliper. The later alloy arms can be used but you'll be needing the entire set up as opposed to just the stub axles which you want from the early stuff offering 100mm drive shaft flanges.

Have also noticed that there's the ABS axles as well which won't fit, bit of a minefield but will keep picking through .
Are there any UK suppliers of the gearbox mounting kits of is it all stateside? |
