Anyone done the deed, or have any links to this conversion?
If not, I've a feeling I may be the one loon trying to make it happen this winter..! |

Well it's mainly due to a mate who stuffed the rear of his '84 944 recently, and I blagged the engine at a decent price.
944 IRS & disc brakes all round were fitted ten years ago to great effect, and the AT code 1303S gearbox gives good cruising speeds with 16" Fuchs wheels & 65 profile tyres.
I can't afford air-cooled flat 6's, and Subarus just aren't Porsche, so this might be the budget way to 163 BHP.
Or not.
Time, and some help from my buddy with fabrication skills, will tell... |

Subaru may not be a Porsche flat 6 but neither is a 2.5 in line Porsche engine.
Obviously I'm a Subaru convert
I ran NA 944 brakes on my notch and they were great, could look up the wheels all day long. _________________ Think......
