I have this 4 wire connector on the engine side right on the motor harness.

Any ideas what it is? (JDM EJ20T 2000 Forester)

Found it. It was the coil pack.

Now what is this one for?

OK.....here's my latest question.

What do those circled letters represent? Where does that wire go?

Examples:H ,I ,G ,F ,E ,C etc?

On one of the other pages of circuits you'll find the match up letter (F goes to F) etc. that looks like a really good link. how do I find it??

Thanks, Steve

Usually typing in your donar vehicle details along with Subaru service manual pdf should bring up good results. Takes some searching though. There are plentyful sources for early Classic (phase 1) Impreza's. I've found the equavilent for the facelift Impreza (phase 1.5).

But your looking for the genuine Subaru service manuals.

As busyguyfish said the circled F is a key to another part of the wiring schematic.

Panel are you doing your loom right now?

Not actually right at the moment but just preparing. I need:

small fuse panel
1 wire off the MAF to wire
2 off of each turbo sensor to wire
FP relay to wire up
Main relay to also wire up

Other than that it was not cut to much.

The main loom under the manifold is intact so all the wires from there go to:

Looks to be a JDM Forester Turbo MY99-00, so a V5-V6 ECU.

So I just have to go from there to these 2 which are just pig tails right now.

I'm also using this as my diagram at the end of the PossumLink manual (a scan of the OEM diagrams):

Sounds like a uber challenge. I'm lazy. I would just gone and pulled a replacement loom from another vehicle as then your pretty much just chopping plugs rather then joining them back together. Well done though Wink

As the new guy I am not attempting to hack your thread just didnt want to start a new thread with a similar title.
I am installing a 93 legacy ej22 na motor into a 69 beetle. I pulled the entire loom out of a junk yard car plug for plug with the exception of the portion going to the back of the car and i cut the wires at the legacy fuse box. Brought it home and started hacking.
I cut out the big grey 10mm plug but soldered each wire back. I'm going to be honest here and say I dont know what any wire does other than what goes to the obvious fuel pump relay, main ignition relay, maf sensor, 2 grey engine connectors, alternator plugs, 3 diagnostic plugs, and green ecu plugs.
I dont know which wires to use for the fuel pump, oil light, temp light, fans, etc..... Any help would be appreciated!
