Thinking ahead I have read that the now hard to get Bedford rascal rack will fit a bus with work and get rid of the crappy steering box problem.
But as I am fitting an engine with a power steering pump on as anyone used the pump to power a rack or fitted alternative easier to get racks.

just to add my bus is a lhd but the plan is to go rhd

I am pretty sure some T25 vans came with power steering, I also seem to remember something along the lines of someone on here using a vauxhall astra PAS rack, then the T25 has a bevel gearbox for the bottom of the steering column and you mount the power steering unit in place of the trackrods.

Depending on why you want PAS there are other alternatives that have been tried such as using the vauxhall corsa based electronic power steering.

I was thinking of the same set up as in the picture but adding a pas to it at the same time. dose anyone know of a short rack like the Bedford rascal I can use and if I get the corsa complete column with the power unit on what I would need to do to power it up. [/img]
