Hi guys I'm going to convert my early bay so what's the easiest conversion
I.e getting the adapter plate minimal work to the flywheel and especially minimal wiring.
I know engine mounts and exhaust will need fabrication but that's easy. Oh and i want it to be diesel so ford? Citroen? Pug? Turbos cool too cheers Aaron
Oh and any links or part numbers or contacts will be great cheers
there's no easy conversion. They all take a lot of work across a variety of disciplines. From mechanical work, sheet metal fabrication, machining, welding, wiring, plumbing etc etc.
An older (non-ecu) VW diesel and presumably other diesels too have very minimal wiring, oil pressure, water temp, glow plugs and fuel cut-off solenoid is as little as you'll get away with. Oh, and wire in a fan for the radiator.
Read through all the build threads here, evaluate which of them suits you best, take ideas from them and formulate your own plan.

Im doing an early bay td conversion using an aaz engine 1900. I belive that is the easiest conversion... This is for a client. Its not to hard at all. all the parts are available off the shelf if you dont want to make your own. i would say this though... any more power and you will have to make allowances for new brakes etc... more power= £££££ _________________ Were am I going to get one of them!
