I can't believe I didn't start this thread on this Forum as It would been in a far better place then over on VZI.
Here's the link to the Thread-
http://volkszone.com/VZi/showthread.php?t=482876
In future I'll up date this thread like I do the VZI one as I go along.
ONLY-
Im moving house and workshop in the next few weeks so funding is tighter then ever and so is the time I get down the workshop so bear with me on this-
Enjoy-

Looking great mate. Read it yesterday.

Not much TBH- Thanks to a very understanding Mr Lee Arnold from LA Performance, He supplied my Erotic Uniball joints and shocks. Watch him thought as hes a very good sales man. My car is now sat at a much more reasonable height as pictured below. Its not at its highet point either but I couldn't be arsed to keep winding the sock plate up and its plenty high enough as it. I got a measurement of 140mm between the floor and bottom of the sump. I can also slam it in the future by winding the shock plate down, but for this I'm looking at a modified sump and also new exhaust headers as I have about 25mm difference in height between the current standard sump and the header.
Big thanks to Ricola too for being more usefull with a tape measure then I am and also for being a wealth of information
Only problem is I see is that to me the wheels are now looking lost in the void of the wheel arche so, I'm thinking space the wheel out so its not so far into the ache.
This should give me more room between the inner wheel rim and the once was spring plate.
More room = wider wheels
I'm gonna be looking a squeezing a 8.5J or 9J in the back there with the correct offset wheel and the right spacer.
Other then this and that, I got hold of these on Flea bay for a reasonable sum
Mark two golf doors I hear you ask why?
Because of these-
Curtousy of Flea bay for a not so reasonable sum:lol: |

Love your car-got some great ideas too-love the interior and cable opperated gearshift! How much does a cable operated gear shift cost-looks like a usefull bit of kit! _________________ www.faltownskateboards.com |

Cheers dude,
Thanks for the comments
Got it from www.renegadehybrids.com
Was about 600 notes I think, its good in the way that you can have the shifter in any place and not have to worry about any shifter rods. But there kit is for a mid engine set up which in the end worked out better for me then the more conventional method.

So finally I got the chargecoler back from the engineer, took him 7 weeks of looking at it and straching his head and less then an evening to weld it up ...........
The welding is awefull but it does the job and it was done on mates rates.... Therefor 7 weeks waiting means I get terrible welding for free
I'm honestly not that happy with how it turned out but it'll do the job for the time being so that makes up for how its turned out.
So hopefully I should be able to get everything back on track and making some progress with the car in the future |

Had some motivation recently.
One front seat to match the rear bench. only got one in at the moment.
The seat is a little close to the b pillar but is does clear the seat belt. these seats are super comfy too.
I also managed to fit the fuel pump and filter.
Swirl pot inside the tank...
Next for me is to hopefully get the top of the engine back together in one piece... then finally sort the plubing out and then get the girl fired up |
