could anyone tell me up to what year car do I need I don't want to put the clocks and other bits like that in ?????????????

phase one will see you go without an immobilisers >1996
phase 2 1996> will see you requiring the immobilser an key from the donar vehicle.
with subarus conversions as far as I know you will not need the vehicle clocks as such.
