Subaru calipers/sharan disc's

Ive read posts about using Legacy front calipers and Sharan disc's as a cheap front brake upgrade. Does it have to be Legacy calipers or ones from Impreza etc the same?

Do I need the 4 pots?

or 2 pots?

I know I need to make mounting brackets for them. Has anyone any pics of them fitted to a Baywindow?

Done this with not too much hassle, used 400mm x 20mm steel bar. Had to grind out a bit on the back in the middle as the face on the spindle isn't flat, but simple enough. Sink the bolts holding the bracket to the callipers and tap the bracket to bolt to the spindle using the original calliper bolt holes. Used the callipers of the Forester and 288mm vented discs for a vw Sharan

did the Sharan disks go straight on in place of the bay window fronts?

yes, but the sharan discs really need the 2 locating bolts so need the drill the hub for the second. I'll take some pics tomorrow. Had to use 16" wheels to clear the callipers, some 15" may fit but thought it was a bit tight. Using the Forester hoses too, there's 2 joined together so long enough to go from calliper to the hard brake pipe.

that's a lot of disk!! Is the whole pad touching the disk?

Not sure what you mean, how can the whole pad not be touching the disc?
As for disc being big, its the only one that's right for diameter/height/ 5x112/center bore size to fit the Subaru calipers on the bay spindle
