1970 type 2 conversion with ee20 diesel subaru,

Along came the EE20 so I picked one up, I understand issues with CAM bus (can get an atermarket ecu approx 1K usd), however gearbox seems to be an issue with the gearbox when you convert to 2wd (450Nm torque destroys all).

I am in Australia and keen to hear from anyone that has tried this, i am looking for schematics to get the mounting engineered as well as an affordable suitable gearbox (maybe a non subaru).

If i am unable to sort in the next couple of months I will be looking to sell the motor (from a 2011 forrester 11,000 klm on clock, paid 5000, would take 3500 aud + shipping.

Would love to do, van is a one off ex military conversion would be a beast
