Firstly I apologise for this being my first post & it being a for sale ad.
I was guided here by a forum member who suggested the following car may be of great use. I am pretty well known on many VW forums.
My faithful T reg, 2.0L non turbo, manual,
Does 30mpg which isn't bad for a big car.
142k on the clock.
It always starts first time & runs perfectly. I know people are usually looking for low mileage cars, but once you have seen, heard & driven it you would be happy to use the engine & box.
It has tax & MOT till September. It has a tow bar, but have not used it.
Inside is all ok, a couple of ciggy burns on the drivers seat. Stereo tape player, but gives a great sound.
Electric windows, central locking, electric mirrors & air con.
I have driven it pretty steady & have done 14,000 miles in it with no problems at all. It is nice & comfy to drive & handles great with the full time 4wd. It has low range gears too.
Great over speed bumps too.
There are a few battle scars, knocks & dents, but nothing too serious. There is no rust on it anywhere at all.
The clutch is the main problem, it has oil on it & will slip if abused or loaded right up. One rear shock has oil mist on it & the rear cotton reel bushed need changing again, easy & common problem.
Good to use the engine for a Scooby conversion!
£450 with the tax, or can send the tax back if it's going to be a donor car..
