Hi guys,
Sorry to make my first post a question (and also sorry if it is in the wrong section, I couldn't decide where to put it). I'm currently converting my beach buggy to WC, the engine I'm fitting is quite a bit heavier (around 250kg), whilst I'm in the process of fabricating the engine support is it ok to have that sort of weight hanging off of the gearbox? Engine won't be started, but I'm not sure whether just having it hanging there on just the gearbox mounts could crack the gearbox.
Thanks in advance, pictures will be put up soon |

Hi Baz
Some people hang all type of motors off just the 4 bell housing bolts
My only advice is when you do start to fabricate your support support the box a little so the front mount is not under tension .
Hope that is clear. Cheers |

| Cheers for the reassurance! I'm not far from you, just up the road in Trentham, Stoke. Got any more pics of your ride? |
