DK 091 fitting nightmare..help!!

ok ive fitted a 091 box to my t25 89 and its all done apart from selecting gears..ive grafted the correct selector to my existing set up but still having problems..was a 5 speed before..was going to go cable shift route but no one does a kit for it at mo..has anyone upgraded to this box and had similar problems?? any help advice much apprieciated..my fitter has now given up asying it cant be done..

Did you try and select all the gears before you put the box in the van?
Only ask cos i tried for ages getting one to fit in a baywindow only to find out a selector fork was broken so it was never going to work

If you need them ive still got the complete rod set up including shifter in the garage ..

had a look at it today and it does go into some gears and drives..cant find reverse and seems to be inbetween neutral and a gear coz a bit grindy/noisey unless i hold gear stick forward a bit..is it just trial and error to set up selector or is there a way to do it easier??
