|
|
Hi lads this has me baffled. I fitted a subaru fuel pump into my 1303 tank and baffled it and made a type of swirl pot the same way as Ricola did. But when i put the power on or especially when im cornering the car seems like it runs on 3 cylinders or is starving of fuel. I read somewhere that fitting a filter can make a difference. Has anyone else had a simular problem?

What engine?
My turbo lump was experiencing fuel cut due to a lack of a speed sensor.
That was on my 1995 WRX lump.
I would also be checking the timing as a precaution. _________________ Think......

Did you sort the idle problem out? _________________ Think......

Yes for some reason the idle sorted itself out . I notice if go around corners it feels like its starved of petrol . I bought this as a rough project done by TSR. The engine runs fine otherwise. What does the speed sensor look like im not sure i have one.

TSR get a bad rep by my understanding. Other then that I nothing about them.
How does the car engine feel in a straight line? Same hessertation? Or is it fine? If its just under cornering, is this with a full tank
Also how does it rev up when stationary? When mine was a tooth out on the timing it had a flat spot low down then slowly got up to speed, this test is stationary in the garage by the way. Now it's sorted and it revs up very quickly and smoothly, no hessertations.
I've only used an RJES speed sensor before. Your best bet is to check a wiring diagram for your year ecu, find the speed sensor connection and see if it's attached to anything.
Mine did also throw a speed sensor fault code up too.
Also do you know much about the pump? Actually you said its a Subaru one didn't you.
Wild card now...... When cornering your fuel lines arnt getting crushed by anything?!? _________________ Think......
