Any suggestions on turbo location, i dont really want to move it but also i dont like the idea of having it under the fuel tank! Any ideas or idvice on moving the location with reguards to oil and water pipes etc greatly recieved. Also any thoughts on running without a intercooler as the turbo lawn mower motors tend to do?

making a charge cooler is the best option, wither a legacy unit or toyota charge cooler would do. but dont forget your going to need apump and additional radiator.
im changing my charge cooler on my type three which i think would suit a tyoe 2 set up as it has a 180 bend to it.
reasonable priced units if you fancy making on.... courtesy of ricola

a mate of mine is going to convert a type 2 to wrx power shortly so ill be watching your progress _________________ Think......

Anyone moved their turbo? Looking at putting it under the batery tray on the near side (not actually under the batery)

I didn't move the turbo but raised the fuel tank, I also plan to use one of those turbo blanket things and heat sheilds.

That's the ticket! How did you mount your turbo there? I'm thinking of having mine away from the engine entirely. Can you remember what thread size the banjo fittings are?

Cheers. Your manifold is similar to when I did a N/A manifold. Thanks for the eBay link.
