Hi all,
it only used to do it when stopping to fill up for petrol after a long run and a few cranks of the key and it would fire up again which wasn't too bad but it's got worse now and it stalls when waiting in traffic on tick over but it's only when the engines hot ? sorry no red light for fault codes, could it be fuel regulator or should i have a code reader on it to check for faults i dont know what to do any help welcome
cheers phil |

right i took it for checking with the code reader and no faults
im sure it's some thing to do with the heat in the engine bay and fuel evaporation it only happens when it's hot weather or after a long drive
any way ive been told to get a fuel lab regulator with a gauge
so i can set the pressure and keep an eye on it with the gauge
its an ej20 non turbo in a splitty but i have fitted ram air scoops and drilled big holes behind the number plate to let the heat out and the exhaust has been heat wrapped i also have an external oil cooler
what more can i do ?
oh i have been told i could fit a different subaru thermostat there is one that opens at 72 degrees ? but i cant see it making much difference over a long run any way any one got any ideas
