hi y'all - in the middle of a karmann ghia project

took the plunge - bought a secondhand non turbo ej20 and all bits to convert except gearbox and/or adapter plate

seen the bellhousing kit from rjes - but questions?

1. do i really need the bus gearbox 091/002 as i have an ah code gearbox out of a vw beetle 1302 in good order - can i use this instead with an adapter plate? if so does rjes sell them? price?

2.if i need the bus gearbox, will the gearing be suited to the lighter karmann ghia body? i.e will the gearing make the engine over rev?

A mate of mine Has done this exact conversion for a customer of his. He said it was fine upto about 125mph when it got scary...... I did recall him saying it did rev high though.

You dont need the RJES adaptor, just get the normal Kennedy style to fit your Bug box. No he dont sell them.
