Ok after doing mega miles on the Doka over the last few years (daily driver and euro trips). It was starting to sound a little worse for wear. A bit like the old clattery VW engine i took out in Jan 07.
Anyway after a busy weekend and 3 days off work i have fitted another low mileage (87k) motor. Spent a little more time on this one as previous engine was installed in a dark barn with very limited tools.
Here are some pics anyway of the near finished engine bay (new aluminium firewall and wiring need a little tweeking). Just hope i get another 4 years fun out of this one. No MOT at moment and some serious bodywork (i.e a little less rat look) means it's going to be at least 2 weeks until i get to nail it.

Motor is now running sweet, had a leaky injector seal that played havoc until i located it as faulty.
Cracked on with welding this week front arch and b post repair. Also had 2 new cab steps and a n/s sill. Next on the to do list is o/s sill and 2 rear quarters. Some pics:

Passed MOT today no advisories. MOT guy even asked for my number for welding work.
New motor goes like f@*king s@*t of a greasy stick. Soooo much fun!!!

| awesome, cant wait get my welding done and go satin black too. How low are you at the front? it looks so good, need mine lowered more but its 70mm already. |
