Hi, we`ve got a little swb beach buggy come into work (The Bug Barn) and he wants more power so long story short rather than having a fast type 1 motor he`s now wanting a subaru conversion so the next thing we get is a lorry turn up with the front half of a legacy and a twin turbo motor under the bonnet and he wants it in the buggy.
We`ve done a couple of conversions over the years but nothing this modern so...... we need a conversion kit poss rjes as hoping the owner will go for a bay gear box and really hope someone does a simplified loom too cos theres a hell of a lot of it
Any other help from you guys gratefully recieved
And i`ll try to remember the pics and do a thread too _________________ Go big or go home |

I believe that a single turbo would be a much better option to go for, I'm under the impression you can get more power from the single turbo motors, the subaru wrc team is a testsment to that. Infact I've heard of the a twin turbo legacy owners opting to convert from twin to single turbo.
Obviously you can convert that twin turbo motor to single turbo, you'll just have to get the relevant parts. But I think it would be an easier option.
Also if the funds are available then I would consider using the subaru gearbox with relevant conversion parts. _________________ Think......
