You will need the ECU the engine wiring harness and the under dash wiring including ignition and surround. You also need the ignition key. MOST IMPORTANTLY YOU NEED THE IGNITION KEY & THE IGNITION SURROUND (DECODER). Sorry but this is very important. Else you will never get the engine running.
Unless your confident with wiring i would pay someone like Rich at RJES to prepare your loom there are metres of it! It is a case then of receiving it back and plugging it in.
Good luck and keep us posted. _________________ 89 Crew Cab (Subaru 2.5na)

There is lots to find on the internet on wiring diagrams. Better yet, I found complete manuals on my engine (EJ22 from 93). Then you have a lot more useful info. EJ20's are more common, I believe, so shouldn't be hard to find. Do look for your specific engine year.
Look on VWKD, you'll find them. _________________ Greetings from Sietze

And it's a long time since it looked anything like this! |
