Hi I have been looking at different methods of fuel tank and fuel pump set ups.I was just wondering what some of you think is the best set up for a 2 liter turbo in a 1303 bug. There seems a few issues ie flow rate, fuel line sizes, fuel pump types and fuel pump noise, breather pipes, vented fuel caps and fuel starvation.Ary ideas/recomendatios would be great.

Hi thanks for the response Ricola , had a look at your setup, have you got a diagram for this as I am a bit confused on the venting pipes on the 1303 and the best place for the fuel return from the engine. Also do you have a vented filler cap ? and isyour in-tank subaru pump quiet ?

All tank venting is stock 1303, stock fuel cap. Fuel return is via subaru assembly..

It's much quieter than an external pump and I don't have any trim yet...

Ok Ricola thanks for that I believe the 1303 had a vent pipe that ran to a canister under the rear wing, are you still using this. And what happens if there is a problem with the subaru pump can it easily be removed for replacement. Sorry for all the various questions I just want to get this part of my conversion right.rgds geedub

I scrapped all the engine end fuel system from the bug engine so not sure! With the subaru fitting it drops in from the top so easy to remove if necessary...
