Hi all engine out , loom out a few goodies ordered
As the rjes sump isnt yet available what are the alternatives ive seen aluminium ones on other busses /bugs subaru power just wondered what they were? |

I've read you can shorten it up to 2 inches with the same oil capacity and get away with it alright.
But of course, i've also read that that'll blow the motor up due to oil frothing. |

What is the oil capacity in a original sump to full mark? 4ltrs? _________________ VW T3 camper awaiting Sumo power!! |

| I have a brand new alloy sump for sale, same as the one discussed. It will not fit RJES engine mount , it hasnt ever been fitted , make an offer . |

| The SC sump fits very well with the RJES mount surprisingly -clearance is a welcome relief too -not huge, but enough for common speed ramps, quality is nowhere near what the RJES one would be I'm sure, and don't be thinking you could mill an extra cm or so off it -can't because of the way it's cast. No internal baffles either, it does for the meanwhile though, soon as there's a high quality alternative it'll be up for grabs. . . |

Just spoke to Richard at RJES, says he has not done any work on the sump for ages, so it could be a while yet.
If anyone knows of any others that will work with his mounts please let us know. |
