Hi probably a daft question but do I need the thermostat in or can it be removed? I've got no heating and don't intend to it's a ej20 na my00. Also what pin out from the ecu sets the fan off. At the moment it's on a separate thermo switch but it's not playing ball at the minute. [/i]

After some quick google searching yeh it was a stupid question. I do need to keep the thermostat but I still need to know which pinout.

Third one from the right, lower row, if it's the engine I'm mind reading about

The ecu hasn't got a pinout there. The code on the ecu is d3 im struggling to get the air block out at the minute frOm the exit of the rad to thermostat housing seems to get hot elsewhere. The remote thermo switch is 78-89c maybe a bit low?? Ive got it fitted to the top hose so with the airlock it's keeping the fans on and cooking the engine. Drove it down the road though blimey it's a fast!! Thought it might release the air lock or maybe just An excuse.

I've ordered two bleed valves which I'm going to put at the highest point under the tank area and a thermo switch which sets the fans off a bit higher temp. Hopefully this will allow me to solve the airlock issue. Will I make it to vanfest in the van?? I'll let you know how I get on.
