Im still having an occasional stall with my EG33 in T25 , i have VSS installed and have tried neutral parking switch wires plugged together and unplugged but no change. Stalling occurs when fully warmed up after a good run and slowing down . Only seems to stall the once then ok. Just wondering if this is a svx ecu problem , i have read usa converters are installing ecu chips to get around the problem. Any ideas ?

Still sounds like VSS to me, check It's working properly, you'll need a multimeter, put the + to the ecu feed at the back of the vss and either jack the van up and turn the wheel or pop the speedo cable out of the speedo and turn it with a small screw driver, the multimeter should cycle between 0v and 5v every 1/4 turn iirc.

If they're chipping it, they're bodging it. Got any links to this?

As James says, Subarus use a 4 pulse per wheel rev, 5V square wave. Double check yours is working just to be sure

Before i had VSS installed the engine stalled loads and the fan came on and ran all the time. There are no fault codes so wouldnt that mean VSS is working ok ?
