Davies Craig water pump

Hi Folks
has any one fitted a Davis craig water pump? if so did you remove the thermostat or re drill the thermostat hole bigger ?

Why would you want to?

That's just over complicating and adding a potential weak link for no reason.
The stock Subi water pump and thermostat work to perfection even in our bastardised cooling systems.

edit. assuming Subi engine?
