Well this is going to be laugh! Got a good start , well solid 1303 ready for a subi conversion. After many years and untold ££'s to make bugs and buggies quick i've given up , sorry. I've always had lawn mower and still do , a nice 2.1 914 . For hill climbing i need something cheap(ish) to build. So true to my roots i'll be in a bug but hopefully with turbo subi power. Car is purely for racing , no mot etc so hopefully if i spend my money in the right places i should have a quick little car to hammer around in. Any advise you can give me would be great as i don't really know where to start looking for parts etc. I'm also on a tight budget which is going to be half the fun. This is why i need to keep things as realistic as possible so no suggestions of mega motor upgrades , fancy boxes etc. Basically i want it to run a stock motor and leave any upgrades to the box , steering and stopping. Interested to hear of any brake swaps/ conversions i can do aswell as it will need rear dics anyway. As i said i do need to keep things simple and cheap of there's such a thing. I'm not competing just an excuse to go out and have a laugh and thrash the pants of a bug! Anyhow i'll use the post and update it as things go. Again any advise would be great. Pic's of the 914 and the new project being picked up next weekend.
