Well it never ends I finally got the bus running and all wired up then it stopped starting would crank but not fire thought i had got to the bottom of it eventually after I replaced the igniter it fired into life.

After finishing tidying up the loom I thought I would try it again, but same problem happened however my mate was working in the engine bay at the same time noticed the igniter was really hot, does anyone have any ideas?

Have you got the ignitor bolted to a big bit of metal? eg bulkhead etc

They use the chassis as a heat sink. On a Scooby they're often bolted on the bulkhead.
Might be ok when it cools down *crosses fingers*

Not really too sure. Mine's bolted directly to the radius on the spare wheel well. Can't find a photo, sorry
I have heard they can get hot, hence being bolted to a big bit of metal

Did it run on all 4 cylinders? Was it dead smooth idle? Is yours a twin coil pack bolted onto the manifold?
