Hello,
As a rejunvinated T2 owner (1.8D Ford Engine) I am now moving onto the wiring and internal living area.
I am just wondering how much the structure behind the passenger seat is required.... It looks fairly substantial, however I would love to be able to put a swivel seat in 
Its a T2 camper 1972 with a walkway between the front 2 seats.

Hi
A mate of mine did cut out the parcel panel about 5 years ago on a 74 walk through, he has used in extensively, does about 10k a year, which is a poo load more than mine! No issues what so ever

the westfalia berlin has a passenger swivel seat standard all the factory did was to leave out the passenger walk through seat box and put a small triangular gusset into the bottom corner of the b pillar to brace it against the wheel arch tub (like in the slidding door aperture on the bottom of the c pillar to the cargo floor) hope this helps
