|
|
Can't decide.. I fancied a scooby but found ford to be more straight forward..
But looking at the scooby, I can make. Reverse throttle body and shorten the sump myself and get all the bits I need for £200 then an adapter flywheel and clutch for additional £450
ford wise, I can get an adapter kit for around £150 plus then a decent pinto that's been rebuilt with webers for £350-400...
So I'm stuck what to... |

Hi bud, just answered your other post and seen this one!.
The ford would prob be easier, if you ask me as you won't need to fit new fuel pumps or modify the tank(efi). Although they are quite thirsty on twin webbers if fitted! .
Subaru on the other hand, for me if maybe a bit more expensive - is more compact and reliable. If you have the room then why not just buy an adaptor kit and an mot failure 2.5ltr legacy(150+bhp)?.

| Well I hav sourced an adapter kit and spoke to a chap with a Subaru sport.. Has all the parts I need for £200 and he's not fat from me either.. Realistically I'd buy a scrap motor but already got three cars on the front of my hse and my folks wouldn't let me take it to theirs either lol.. |

| Thats what motor I've got - 2.0ltr impreza sport, sounds like a good deal to me but make sure you get everything as in complete loom, ignition, fuel pump. would be usefull if you marked up wiring from the car before it was removed if you can (Ie neutral switch, fuel pump etc..) |

a 3 bar pump off an audi or bmw is ok ,or an after market bosch.
there is always something else but nothing that stands out
is the sport a turbo engine? _________________ vwdrc class rep
