This bellhousing is designed to work on the standard Bay window 091 and T3 (T25, Type 25) 094 gearboxes including the Syncro range.

The Audi 5 Cylinder engines share their engine to gearbox pattern with that of the Audi V6 and Audi V8 engines, both petrol and diesel engines will bolt up and this gives you a huge range of engines to choose from to replace that worn out petrol/diesel engine in your van.

Also, Porsche wet sumped flat 6 engines (that's 2.5, 2.7, 3.2, 3.4 and 3.6) produced from 1996 onwards use the same bolt pattern so you can bolt a Porsche Boxster or Porsche 911 engine into your van!!

Just think of the possibilities...

5 Cylinder engines: Audi 2.2 (140bhp), 2.3 (140bhp), 2.1 10V Turbo (165bhp), 2.2 20V Turbo (anything up to 240bhp stock and limitless from there), Audi 2.5 TDi 115 and 140bhp engines (I have personally installed one of these in my Syncro 16), VW Transporter T4 2.5TDi engines

V6 Petrol engines: Audi 2.6 12V (150bhp), Audi 2.8 12V (174bhp), Audi 2.4 30V (165bhp), Audi 2.8 30V (193bhp), Audi 2.7 Twin Turbo (from 230bhp upwards, as used in RS4s etc),

V6 TDi engines: Audi 2.5 TDi 150 and 180bhp, Audi 2.7TDi and 3.0TDi up to 230bhp in the latest Audi engines.

V8 Petrol engines: Audi 3.6 V8 (250bhp) Audi 4.2 V8 (300bhp, I had one of these bolted up to this bellhousing)

Porsche Boxster 2.5 (204bhp), 2.7 (220bhp), 3.2 (266bhp)

Porsche 911 (996 series) 3.4 (300bhp), 3.6 (320bhp)

I'm sure there are more engines which I've forgotten but you get the idea.

VW felt that the T3 van needed a bigger engine and created this bellhousing to make it possible.

I have personally imported this bellhousing and parts from South Africa at great expense for a project which isn't going to happen due to a career change.

These are very hard to get hold of and are not cheap.

£550.00

I'm more than happy to give as much imformation to help out with the rest of the conversion parts depending on which engine you decide to fit and have some real hands on experience of what will and won't work in these vans.

For more details, please contact me at syncro16@hotmail.co.uk or phone me on 07989 333437
