hi nath have you still got the box if so what hp do you think the box will cope with cheers

hi,

pete at cogbox said it will be fine for 200hp, more than that and you'll need a chromoly 1st/2nd shaft. But this really depends on the weight of the car and tyre and what you're planning to do.

200hp is if you we're to drag race with slicks...but the cv's are likely break first. Let me know if you need more info.

thanks for the info i'm just after a box for a 71 fastback running a ej20 scooby currently on a bog standard box which kind of limits you which is a shame when you've got that power on tap think its running about 250hp but i have no evidence of this as yet i only want to run the car on the road not strip days as yet what do you think.

that kind of power will be fine for road use, even a bit of strip action - it's trying to get the front wheels up on slicks that would cause a problem...but like i said, your Cv's are likely to break before anything else - but you would never do that on the road!
