EJ22 VSS code 33 fan cuts in

T25 with a 94 EJ22 four plug ECU. Ive been running an rjes vss for 2 years now with absolutely no issues codes etc, until recently.

I got code 33 a few weeks ago, so checked the wiring etc all seems fine so reset the ecu. ok for a week or so, get code 33 & 24, so recheck wiring and reset ecu.

The light stays on for a bit then goes out, no other symptoms or stalling etc..

Today the cel light comes on and the fan cuts straight in, so I think coolant sensor but no code 33 & 24 again

The only possible related recent event is that I had the speedo cable out of the hub when I replaced the suspension bushes and since then the speedo needle is a bit wobbly, used to be steady as a rock, maybe I've twisted the cable a bit when shoving it back in which has made it wobble and confuse the vss ? seems a bit unlikely but you never know!

Ok sorted this after some advice from RJES, ran a few test's on the sensor and it's faulty. New sensor fitted and everything is as it should be.
