I have a minor wiring issue I wonder if anyone has come across, it's on the 2000MY 2.5 that I've just fitted, I'm getting fault code 38, which is in many lists as 'Torque control signal' and apparently it's to do with a locking solenoid on the torque converter at high rpm? It's usually only seen on SVX engines I believe, and it's obviously only going to appear on auto donors only. It turns out that Richard has come across it just once, on his own van and not found a cure for it. Has anyone else seen it, and more to the point, what's the fix? I have about 6 dead wires that would have gone between the engine ECU and the auto ECU, one or more I guess wants some kind of signal, or earthing or something. Does anyone know?
Cheers all.
