Will a 1.9 pug td motor (or one from a Citroën zx with the intercooler fitted on top) fit under the engine hatch of a t25 and still shut or does it need to be modified?
I know it'll fit in a pickup because of the extra 6" or so of extra height in the engine bay. |

my mate put a 1.9 non turbo from a 405 in his panel van and had to build a box into the engine hatch for clearance, similar to the south african 5 cylinder t25's with the storage under the bed _________________ 1964 rat 13 window deluxe 1Z tdi,

you can swap and change inlet manifolds ( check shape of ports early squared off later oval ), if the engines fitted with an intercooler on top then this will need changing ,does not work in this position ,
I've fitted a 205td inlet manifold so no pipes over the top ,I'm due to fit either a rover 418/218td ( very low )or xatia manifold so that i can fit the intercooler in a better position ( not for long as building up a common rail engine ASP ) , my camper has the auto homes conversion that had draws above engine hatch ,removed draws- so this is the amount the hatch was raised some people lower the engine mounting bar and gearbox mount were it bolts to the body _________________ Auto Union Munga Jeep ,T4 2.4td , T4 2.5tdi ,Mercedes S Class on LPG , 66 splity deluxe , GP mk1, 3 type 25s 1 with 1.9dt pug engine + 1 with N/A pug engine ,,there are 6 t25s with pug power in Darlington |
