Drive by wire system in T25?

Does someone here know about any aftermarket drive by wire system that could be suitable in a T25 with a SVX/EG-33 engine in the rear?

Would be great to get rid of that cable from the pedal to the throttle, maybe get some cruise control function into the bargain and last but not least that you get hanging pedals instead of that plastic piece that makes mud to be accumulated under the carpet.

I guess some kind of potetiometer are needed in the pedal and a servo that is powerful enough are necessary on the throttle.

I found this yesterday: http://ha-projekt.de/index.php?route=product/product&path=25&product_id=58 looks nice but it seems that it is only the pedal, the things that is needed in the engine room are not included.

Throttle cable's simple - what advantage is FBW? (Apart from the "cool" factor)

Yes it is bacause the "cool factor" but most it is because i want a hanging throttle pedal instead of that plastic piece in the floor.

If I have a hanging pedal I can seal the hole in the floor and let someone sew new floor mats (without that cutout for the orginal gas pedal).

As it is now there is just a lot of mod accumulating under the mats where the throttle pedal is and if you do not clean that area once in a while the rust will arrive as a letter in the mail.

BMWs from the 80ies have the same bad design.

I guess it is not only to pick parts from any car with DBW system because most of the cars out there that is so new that they have DBW also have CANBUS-system and then I think it is a bigger nut to crack if I will get that to work.

05-07 wrx 2.5 has dbw and no canbus Wink

Maybe i should look for one of those then. Do you think the WRX throttle servo will have enough torque to turn the SVX throttle (double intake nozzle)?

Is custom sleeved cable run internally an option? Motor sport and rear engine kit cars need long cables and there are suppliers available
