For those that are interested, heres my conversion from AUS
Germanlook without the expense & restrictions of porsche bits...
A conversion done like it was made to be there, rjes & L&D gearbox bits and so on, to save typing it out again, check out the link for website on here....

im beginning to regret not doing shitfwork anymore, missing out on overtime payed at 2x normal pay rate, ive just found the perfect engine for an awesome price & because of gearbox & floorpan commitments i wont be able to get it just yet.
For the record i hate murphys law.
heres a pic of the weekends efforts though... got 3 of 4 guards fitted perfectly, with the help of my lovely apprentice/girlfriend

small update, the gearbox build has begun, pics of empty case on avd thread, scored some real VW part number'd L bug lights that actually fit nicely too, bonus is, my lights have previously done somewhere around a 10sec 1/4mile 
other bonus was they came attached to guards like mine, but they have been hacked up for drag slicks, so if i ever feel the urge to to down the strip on some decent rubber, im covered, FOR FREE!

Sick days do wonders, even if you can only see out one eye!
Rear adjuster, front goes up & down with 2 spanners so why not make the rear the same?
It worked, original concept on SBO/GL forums for those interested but for RHD people, we can have hydraulic clutch masters fitted in almost the original location, standard superbug brake mc makes it even easier again
Rolling shell, gotta make sure everything will fit up properly before taking it all apart again to pretty it up, Not looking forward to doing that AGAIN so this may be a rat look subie bug for longer than planned
