Hi iv got a ford 3.0 carb fed v6 engine to go into my t25 how do i tell if its a essex or cologne engine and do they need difrent adaptor plates?

Whats difrent about the manifolds and will they both use the same adaptor?

essex engine 2.5 ,3.0 has 3 exhaust ports per head and dizzy at the front and is an imperial bolted engine
2.3 , 2.8 have 2 porst per head , shared with 3 cylinders! dizzy near the flywheel (rear) and is a mectric bolted engine
2.4 and 2.9 are cologne metrics but with 3 port heads!
bolt pattern is the same on the bellhousings as is the input shaft for clutch , but there are a few different spigot bearing sizes , as many different sump configurations
the injection engines use better camshafts than the carb models! |

cheres for that as my adaptor came of a 3.0 v6 but the guy didnt know what type at least i dont need to worry about what engine to get
