due to getting another pickup, my singlecab will be for sale very shortly. also for sale is an engine which i was going to transplant into the beast.
its a ford 2.8i v6 engine (capri), the engine comes with just about eveything you need to do the coversion. i have stripped the loom down to just the bits needed (but have kept the rest as spare), it comes with an adaptor plate which bolts to a watercooled or lawn mower engined box, no need to change input shaft or extend. also is a pair of stainless header pipes and a pair of mg (new style) v6 stainless back boxes. a brand new electric high pressure (injection) fuel pump.
ive got a capri wokshop manual, with some pages i printed from the web which show wiring and plumbing for this conversion (very easy)
all you need to do is modify the original vw engine brace to fit the 2 ford engine mounts, get 2 u bends and some pipe for the exhaust. a fuel filter (golf gti), some petrol pipe, then off you go.
engine should give aprox 150 bhp.
as you can see it is bolted to a gearbox which i will trow in as ive only used this to check it all fits and turns over with the vw starter (it does)
looking for £320 ovno. to be collected from Leeds (extremely heavy) _________________ another weekend under the van !!!!!! |
