Awesome - that guy's a nutter - he must have been 6' behind the Ferrari at about 115 mph. Does anybody have more info on the bus in the vid - spec, etc? What gearbox is in it, whether or not it lasts? It must be scary in a bay at that speed - my old one would do 100mph (just) on it's standard air cooled 2 litre, but it didn't feel right at all - like was about to take off!
If anybody's bay will go like that, it'll probably be yours Rich. Go for it! Even cooler if you can manage that on LPG!

sod the turbo ,you need nitrous we need to start u on 25bhp and work u up to 120bhp ,then we will have another wheelie vid

It's a WRX same as Riches but uses the Subura box. Rich is on email terms with him so will shed some more light I'm sure. Hopefully we can get him on here so we can quiz him on his cooling set up. All I know is it is a underbody jobby between the chasis rails this far.

| the bus uses the legacy turbo engine and gearbox mid mounted (gearbox at the back) this has meant loss of some internal space where the back seat should be but has meant an upright rad can be used - pics will follow) Ill try and find the pictures of the whole set up - its not for the faint hearted for sure - he basically cut the whole rear chassis out the van and welded in the whole front end of the legacy!! |
