Howdy volks,
The GTI motor didn't pan out.
Just tripped across an '84 Audi 5000 turbo (5 cylinder) with a bad tranny for cheap.
180 HP and Torque sounds rather appealing..
Are the audi's a different bolt pattern than the VW watercooled blocks?
Anybody seen an Audi 5 cyl in a VW Type 2 or Vanagon?
Thanks! _________________ '79 Westy |

| That reminds me didn't they fit that engine as standard down there? - or is that what the article is about. I've got the mag just not read it yet. |

somewhere theres a website of a guy doing a similar conversion......but I cant find it ill post up if I do. But yes it is possible - there was a van at vanfest with this conversion.
From my memory of the mag article - I think it was factory.
I share my barn with an audi WR coupe turbo - which hasnt done much for a while....be interesting to see how you go with this as out in the yard theres also a t25 :-) |
