It ain't just you fella. Wanna talk about steering pins on a bus

1/ Order parts that you know you're gonna need
2/ Wait 6 weeks before starting
3/ Use ball joint separator
4/ Eventually 'pursuade' bushes out (B'stard things, really in good un tight)
5/ Offer up new bushes - 1.5mm oversize
6/ Mate comes up trumps with phos bronze bushes - need reaming
7/ Coax new bushes in (no sign of friend with reamer)
8/ Clean up threads on ball joints
9/ Splitter's bent one thread, it's buggered.
10/ Will tell you when I do it. Grrr, got tomorrow off now!

'78 Bay, 2 litre 091 box, EJ20 NA & the ashtray's on the 'right' side.

You're going to love the m/way cruising bud Happy

Update
10/ Ream out bushes no probs
11/ Ordered Fixed track rod and new ball joints & steering idler pin (just in case) pop into town & pick them up
12/ Fit Fixed rod no probs
13/ Try to remove 'other' ball joint from adjustable bar (one already removed) - no hope, order new bar for del tomorrow
14/ Fit a ball joint to Y shaped bit on steering arm, fix fixed arm too
15/ Find someone's really sent me the wrong idler pin (it's for a split), use one from 11.
16/ Go to attach Y bit, thread's graunched on the clamp, needs chasing and I haven't got a M12x 1.5 tap.

Ohhh, bloody Bug's speedo cable went on way back home. FFS! (thankfully I have two cars)

Still she should steer nicely after & 'solid' phos bronze bushes are gonna last
