alright chaps...
my gearbox appears to be leaking from the passenger side cv joint area does anyone have any idea what would be causing this??? i have lost about a litre of gearbox oil already and need to get this sorted..
just for info i am using new drive shafts and cv joints and had my original 1303 gearbox reconditioned at bears to take the power of the scooby lump so not sure why it should be leaking after only 500 miles of scooby power

sounds liek the seal that goes around the stub in the sideplate, worst case I think it should be easy enough to replace in the car...

PS glad you got that trapeze to fit, others I have seen make it all look a LOT tighter than your pics!

refilling gearbox oil is fairly easy, just make sure you keep the trans fairly level while you do it and get the oil in one of those bottles with a long spout on it that will go through the fill hole. Don't fill too fast to let the oil level stabilise diring filling. Probably easiest to just taek the wheel off and put that side on a stand at the correct height.
