I have a EJ18 from a 1991 Legacy, but don't know which fuel pump to use. Being a '91, it has a carb, not fuel injection, so I don't think a high pressure one would be appropriate. It still has a fuel return line & swirl pot like the later cars though.

Anyone got any ideas?

An EJ18 with a carb? That's interesting - never seen one of those before. I thought the entire EJ range all had multi point injection. Is it definitely and EJ18, not the earlier EA82? Thanks,

Hi Richard

Yes, it's definately an EJ18. In 1991, the UK subaru legacy came with a carbed 1.8 or EFI 2.2. I was lucky enough to get the official dealer repair manual for the car and this details the carburettored engine. It has a distributor attached to the LH camshaft & uses a Hitachi carb.

Hope that helps.

Mark
