are the imput shaft splines the same on type 2 and t25 , just brought a diesel adapter plate that was fitted in a type 2 but it dosnt seem to fit my t25 friction plate wrong spline size any ideas?????

They should be I use a standard type 2 box with a T25 Clutch Plate on mine ! Check this out suggests Diesel one might be different
