hi all my splits runing fine at the mo, so thought id try a bug which has bin sadly rotting away on my garden ,so it was either scrap it or mod it,,ive bin looking to do something which no one has got in a bug?so came up with this 280bhp t5(yes 5cyinder)20valve turbo moter and 5spd lsd manual gearbox?its a task but work is now under way ,heres a video of a volvo 280bhp doing its thing?
http://www.mikeandminniehardy.co.uk/volvovids/overloaded850.mpa
a standerd t5 dose 0.60 in 6seconds in a 2 and quater ton moter lol so whats this going to do in a tonish bug lol
prob is hows it going to fit fit lol mmm like this only starterd 2days ago and fitted new doors, floor pans, heater channels and roughly got the front wheels to fit? a few pictures just for u all to see (hope ull like it? ive givern roughly 8months but way im going maybe 5months , got engine loom cut/wired up and runing sounds arsome lol and dose 150mph in the volvo and cruises at 100mph at 3rpm lol in top gear

That should be one monster bug - it'll compliment the splitty very nicely.
Good luck with it. |

right all ive done more work on the bug (bin a tad bisy working etc , unsure were to start here so ill include two links of whats bin done so far and have a read thow ,had a few probs etc ,but the 340bhp /430bls of touque is now fitted, starts and sounds dam dangrous
specs so far on the moter
340bhp/430lbs of torque
16inch volvo alloys
remapped rica 304 ecu
decated (may own home made exhust pipe)
new bigger t19 turbo
top speed of 165mph
100mph at 3000 rpm(mad but fun)
bigger intercooler (fills the rear bug engine lid nicely)
dump valve
90percent of weldings now done
mainly bodywork/ interior/brakes to sort
and its road legal lol
and will be faster then a ferrari 0/80
this moter did 0/60 in 6seconds weighing 2 and quarter ton pulling at ?,so remove 2ton?and youve a death wish sat behind you
no power steering or aircon fitted to the lump (extra 11/15bhp)
5speed shifters in and works great
engine braces/mounts all in and fitted
rad/fand fan in all piped up and works fine

Splittyman, I think you should change your name to 'Mad Murdock' - you nutter
Big up fella. I'm gobsmacked at what you get up to. _________________ The advice you receive on here is worth the paper it's written on.
