Nice work fella
You doing a Covin stylee resto on that?! _________________ The advice you receive on here is worth the paper it's written on.

the role over bar were a god send. they cost £450 which was a bit expensive but i plan to run my own garage in a good few years so they will come in handy when i finally make the break from the day job.
when looking back at the photos youd of scrapped it really, which is bad as i bought it as a runner with mot about1.5 years ago, and when i took it for an mot it only failed on a hole in the belly pan. the resto has taken me 1 year so far and i estimate another two should see it on the road _________________ most bad experiences ive had included cars that werent german. never again |

too early! ive had over a year of planning so as you can imagine the plans are forever changing.
first off i went out and bought this off ebay within weeks of buying the van
1.7 16v quad cam.boxer 80k fsh. probably for sale if anyone fancies doing an alfa swap.
but now the plans for the engine have changed a bit, and it appears that 4 cylinders wont fit the bill so im after a porcshe flat six. or a new school vw engine pumper diesel or 20v swap. _________________ most bad experiences ive had included cars that werent german. never again |

for the interior if have sourced a set of 1976 tan leather porcshe tomb stone seats. bluebird r&r bed. and ill be fitting a pair of buddy seats from that guy down in poole who knocks up furniture. tmi panels. the removal of heater pipework under dash will allow a smooth panel all the way across it with speakers in it. the dash will be having the gloove box smoothed so i can fit an alpine cva 1004r in the stereo hole and another cva1004r purely for the passenger to watch in place of the glove box with an alpine pxa501 prossessor controller in between the two for dolby 5.1. my plan is to cover the dash in leather to match the seats and fit an alpine centre spaeker in the top of it. _________________ most bad experiences ive had included cars that werent german. never again |

20v would be great...really want to see someone do this.....in theory it should be fairly easy too....even better if it were mid mounted using a passat 5 speed box or alternatively a golf box and trnasverse set up. Theres a lot of em about and a lot of tuning parts available too....I used to have a 150bhp one in my a passat and it was lovely and smooth and pretty nipy despite heavy car and high miles!
go on...you know it makes sense keep up the good work. |

as for the wheels. my intial purchase were a full set of 6x15" chromed porsche teledials with adapters. but i have since become a bit of a wheel whore agian on ebay. and have ended up with 4x 6x15" cookies, 4x 7x17" 911 twists, amd a set off 7.5x17" cayene wheel. im a sucker for a bargian and the last three sets have ended up costing me in total £30 after selling all the tyres off. (im sure collecting key rings would take up a lot less room) and get me in less bother with the wife.
and this week i have been preping my beam for narrowing 4" so i can get them all on (not all at once)
