Cant work out how the hell you're supposed to add pictures to this forum, so please click the following link for pictures of my camper, Thanks:

http://www.rjes.com/html/rjes_syncro.html

This is my 1991 Syncro camper. It was bought with a dead 1.9 DG wasserboxer specifically to convert. It's an LHD ex German Ambulance.
Conversion to Subaru power actually started on a '76 bay I used to own. The process took nearly three years, by which time I had sold the bay and bought the Syncro. Sounds a long time for a conversion, but that includes all the design and development work on the Subaru bellhousings which I now manufacrure (see www.rjes.com).
The engine is a 1999 Jap spec 2.5 quad cam nat asp with vatiable inlet vavle timing - a spec never sold in the UK. It's from a Legacy Lancaster - The Japanese equivalent of an Outback. It's 160 bhp - the most powerful non turbo 4 cylinder Subaru engine made, I believe.
It runs a 230mm WRX clutch, mainly becuase I needed to check out my (then new & untested) turbo 'pull to release' clutch installation. The Legacy Lancaster was automatic, so this engine has been converted to manual spec. Thanks for looking,

Cool! That looks really tidy. I'm saving up for a bell housing for my wedge as we speak Happy

Cool - thanks for the info on how to post pictures on here, and for the complements on my Syncro conversion.
I'm after an EZ30 or EZ30R 3 litre flat six from a 2000 --> Legacy to put in my crew cab if anyone knows where there's one available. The plan, if I can find one, is to convert it to LPG so I can enjoy the 240 bhp at reasonable running costs (it's my daily driver), and maybe supercharge it too and run from an aftermarket ECU.
