Well this my 2nd replacement cable (ie snapped 2) in approx 18 months.
They go right where the cable meets the threaded section at the gearbox.

The Scooby clutch is around the same foot force as the VW, well it feels about the same.

Is this normal for a bus?

Mine normally last a few years but yer always break at the same place by the adjuster at the gearbox. Mine did break about a month ago too!

The replacement one I got from GSF was noticably thinner than the one which was originally there (possibly the VW one). Is there a better quality replacement or are you getting them from there too?

I'm using pukka Gemo ones. Thankfully I was carrying a spare and conduit.
I think they must be working on the limit, one strand goes and that's enough.
It looked fine on Friday when I had the drive shafts out.

I went hydraulic on mine. Was very easy.
Used a BMW 3-series m/c that I got off ebay for 99p Wink and a gearbox slave cylinder I got from HSL racing which cost about £25 Sad I had to make a bracket for the m/c and a push rod from a bit of threaded bar and other bits I had lying around but that was easy enough. There are photos in my rides thread but I can post again here if anyones interested and can't be bothered looking for them
