ej 22 in my 1970 bay return fuel Q

Hello everbody im new on here Hello

just got my engine and loom and starting my conversion

, heard of people using the breather on the fuel tank for the return i only have 1 breather on my tank is it still ok to use, any one who can help would be great.

I had a return line brazed into the bottom of my tank. Standard plumbing fittings Wink

Hi

I hate going near tanks with a flame 20 years ago I had a old motor bike tank I was going to cut in two and make smaller for a chopper bike, This tank had sat in my garage with no petrol in it for a number of years. Yes you guessed it burnt all my hair off a sheet of flame came out of it about 20 feet in the air.
I hate petrol tank welding

why argon dose that stop it going bang,seen the hose kev (subaru green van) useed for his rad its just what i need any ideas where he got it from.

Argon's inert and will replace the air in the tank & it won't go bang.

Kev used Pirtek hose (well that's what I told him to use) and Gates flexi hose. Look up Pirtek in the yellow pages, it's approx £18/m for 38mm ID suction hose. It's got a steel re-inforcing coil in it, cut with a hacksaw and then use snips/heavy duty wire cutters/pliers etc
The flexi Gates stuff can be bought from Halfrauds for about a tenner.
If you want a butchers at mine & Kevs we should both be at the Hop Farm Sunday (Kev'll point me out)
